Columbia Big Band Featured at Benefit Concert for Sonora High School Jazz Band

A concert to benefit the Sonora High School Jazz Band will be held on Friday, January 17 at 7:00 p.m. at the Sonora High School Auditorium. The concert will feature the Columbia Big Band under the direction of Professor Rod Harris. Special guests include Kerry Tweedy – vocalist, Krista White – piano, and Mario Flores – congas. The event will also feature several Sonora High Jazz alumni such as Jim Anderson, Dan Ray, Josh Lewicki, Danielle DeBartolomeo, Ryan Murphy, and Brooke Fulkerson. The Sonora High Jazz Band – Yvonne Denton, director—will open the event and will later join the Columbia Big Band for some double band joint selections.
